From Anzio to Stalag 7A Series: Episode IV

Episode IV: From Anzio to Stalag 7A Series is a collection of short fiction episodes; the series features our protagonist PFC Trenton T. Tonasket, a World War II U.S. Army Infantryman. This is a work of fiction, although some publishers consider this type of story to be a creative non-fiction. Names and characters are products of the author's imagination or are used fictitiously and are not to be construed as real; although the World War II events, theatre missions, battles, bases, camps, schools, units, geographic locales, and stalags, are real, any resemblance to persons living or dead is entirely coincidental.

A Story About Old England 3:
It was in the days of Good King Freddie. The prime minister and patron saint had been sacked and Cuthbert had been appointed to both posts. It was his duty to control the fire-breathing monsters that were causing chaos throughout the land. Cuthbert did all he could. He even borrowed the best horses from the royal stables, and that did not please Freddie. 'You ride off on my beautiful stallions and bring them back worn out and with singed tails,' he complained, 'and by the way, where's that new lance I bought last week for the royal armoury?'

A Discovery Unexpected - Adolescent Reminiscences:
There are strange cross-roads in our life when we confront our new selves as never before! I rediscovered my deeper connection with my mom at one such cross-road in my life. It was the beginning of my understanding of a lady who I rediscovered at this adolescent stage which, eventually, lead to a subliminal growth of myself as a woman. This piece of writing is a painful yet meaningful recollection from my past.

The Depth Awaits:
Once again I speak about love in all its forms, its rival forms, and energies. I speak too of sibling rivalry amongst sisters. The beautiful, and the damned. Human beings are flawed from birth, but not our instinct. Our instinct comes with clarity of thought, vision, insight, the right stuff. It is our instinct, and not our humanity that is perfect. It is a neurosis. If you are beautiful, a man will fall in love with you, propose to you, set up house with you, and you will begin your journey on that sunny road. You will marvel at what you can create. Children, children, children. And these children will bear an uncanny resemblance to you or your spouse. Therein lies humanity's creative impulse. To create a new generation who will follow in their parents' footsteps. Who will continue that family tree with their own sons and daughters. And that is all that some people see, give recognition to. That that is where the creative impulse stops for them. But for the artist his world is a dream. And that dream not only opens for them but for humanity, the world at large. Artists work with a universal fabric. Creativity.
